About the artist

Hi, I’m Stacy!

I am a born and raised Texan from Houston, and I have been working with clay for a little over a decade. Ceramics is my passion. I hope to share the joy of clay with others as an artist and teacher.

I love creating both functional and sculptural work, overlapping the two as often as I can. The two biggest inspirations for my work are natural geological formations and my deep love of fantasy and mythology. I lose myself in carving intricate patterns and textures on my work, much like losing myself in another world by reading a good story, or losing myself in wonder at the bottom of a natural cavern. These are ways I can escape when life gets bogged down. I hope that viewing my work helps others lose themselves in the magic that lies just beneath the surface of this world, and the magic that lies within each of us.
